Hi Everyone!

After much thought I have decided to put my GTM Libra up for sale.

Our life has changed considerably since Bill the Lurcher has joined our family and so the time has come to sell my great Libra.

My car was built by Lordy Beck in 2003. It is fitted with a 1.8VVC trophy engine with a BRM special edition gearbox that has a Torsen limited slip diff.

The car has done 39,000 miles with most parts replaced 2,000 miles ago - and no, not because it blew up!

I decided to have the cam belt replaced and decided to do a few more things done:

Headgasket replaced

Petrol pump

Alernator

oil pump - re-ground

water pump

All fluids changed.

The car still has the original Libra seats.

I have decided to try and sell the car on TeamGTM as I would like to sell it to a GTM enthusiast.

The car is currently not taxed, but I will tax for the 1st April.

I am not sure how much my car is worth; I have a rough idea what I would like, but it is difficult to price it up as I can't find many around to compare!

If you have any questions then please feel free to contact me.

Mobile is 07974 76113507974 761135

Regards

P.S If I manage to sell my car through this site, I will of course make a donation to TeamGTM.

And Craig, this site looks great!

Hi Gideon,

Good luck selling the Libra, I hope you get what you want for it.
Feel free to upload images of it, I'm sure it'll help the sale. It's quite straightforward but let me know if you get stuck.

Will you get something else? I never heard of a dog having such an impact.

I'm glad you like the site!

Hi Craig,

Yes Bill has made a very big impact on our lives, like waking me up at 06:30 this morning!

I could not see how to attach a photo!  I tried the picture icon but could not see how to upload a photo from my hard drive.

Regards

Gideon

Hi Gideon,

I've written some instructions over here, with pictures: http://www.teamgtm.com/node/15355
Let me know how you get on.

Did you do all the work in your initial post? How did you get on with the petrol pump?
I understand it's not a nice job. Which pump did you fit?

Hi Craig,

No I did not do the work, I can only do simple things like change the oil, oil filter and air filter.

My wife, at the time, worked for a bank and she had an MG restorer as one of her clients.

So I gave him a call and he agreed to do the work.

The guy was not cheap but he did a great job and even the MOT station commented on the work carried out on the car. So I do not know what pump he used!

When I press the photo icon, a message pops up and says "access denied"!

Regards

Gideon

Yes, I had hoped by joining the site, to get a view of what it takes to strip down a doner car and construct the kit. Has it been done? Any guidence to it's site location, or any recomendations for good books, manuals or personal stories?

I do hope that this submission does not sound short tempered?

You can find most of that over here: http://www.devineprojects.org/gtmdb/Build_sequence_-_GTM_Libra

Look on the right hand side for the specifics of each step. The only problem is that the diagrams are not shown.
