I am reluctantly selling my GTM Rossa Mk2 kit
car.
GTM stands for Grand Touring Mini and is therefore is mainly built from the
orignial mini / metro parts which are still very easily accessible, cheap and
plenty of modifications available. The engine is a 1275 water cooled metro
engine. It also has a removable hard top which is great in the summer time and
allows you to hear the great sound of the K&N filter. I also purchased an
orginal stainless steel GTM exhaust system which are very rare and cost over £300
if you can get one.
I have had this car since 2004 when I managed to save it from being scrapped.
Since getting it back on the road it has been used almost daily for work and
have even ventured on longer journeys to Dorset
and other parts of the south coast. It cruises along nicely and took me up and
down from Luton to Newham every day for over 2
years. Due to having a small family and a new job I have now bought a motorbike
to commute on as there is a much better chance to getting home on time!
I have tried to list all of the work I have completed on the car but can only
remember back the last 4 years. As you can see there have been a lot of work to
keep it running on the road and has always passed it's MOT with very little
problem. Each time I have fixed the car I have tried to upgarde the items from
the originals.
Important - As with any kit car it is always work in progress and this car is
no exception. The paint work has faded in places and has stone chips on the
front and sides. The doors need adjusting again to ensure they sit correctly as
they are sticking out slightly. As with any car sale I would advise you arrange
to view the car before buying. I have not renewed the tax as I have not been
using it for the last couple of months.
This is a great for someone that wants a little run around that still turns
heads and sounds great. Or it could be a project to strip down and rebuild to
get it back to its full glory or use as a race car.
Any Questions give me a call 07906 658526
Thanks
Scott
