Coilovers

I am using protech... not the best there are but probably your best option...

Mine are Gaz, if memory serves. 

There doesn't seem to be much to tell them apart. 

Someone had issues with their protecs and didn't get satisfactory response from them. I'll try find the thread. 

I have had no end of trouble with my protechs and there's a thread about it under suspension titled protech rattle .

Rattles, leaks and a fracture to mount , I will say this they have been happy to help and replaced parts and rebuilt for me and touch wood all seems to be fine for the moment but can I recommend them no

If I had the money again I would go for avo or gaz

I've got Gaz ones and I had them sent back for a refurb when they started to leak.

Was cheaper than buying new ones!

I have Gaz and they lasted over 70000 miles, refurb by Gaz about £40 each very quick service.

seem good, but nothing to compare them to.

Anyone doing separate bump and rebound adjustment for sensible money yet? 

Not for the rear... I tried to get ones made up with the extension bit but no-one wanted to.

It's one of the reasons that I've changed the rear so it takes a more standard shock.

When I checked AVO was cheapest... I'm tempted by Ohlins cos they are soooo good on the motorbike.

Just re-fitted my front GAZ dampers after they refurbished them.

I also managed to clean up and repaint the wishbones etc and now looks great.

The car's handling is much better now (adjuster was stuck) and squeak-free.
