Dead and dying websites - an offer

As I browse the web for all things GTM related I notice that many owners sites are disappearing.

This is unfortunate because they offer an insight into the build sequence, issues encountered and approaches used for other GTM owners. Even just the photo diarys can be quite enlighting for those new owners who haven't had the pleasure of putting thier car together.

As you know TeamGTM has a huge archive of information in the forums which has grown over the years. On it's own it's great, but would be much better combined with the original build diarys of the cars as they were assembed.

Here's my offer:

If you used to have a GTM build diary website and still have the files I'd love to host them on TeamGTM.com. The hosting would be free of charge and without any other commitments. All you have to do is give me the files along with your permission to use them.

This offer also stands if you have a current GTM build diary website.

Please reply below or send me a PM

As one of the new users who didn't build my own car that Craig refers to I would urge anyone with this valuable information to take up Craig's offer!

I've spent hours browsing through the archives and have found some really useful information that will be(and already has been) of great help maintaining and upgrading my recently acquired Spyder. I have found a few links to images and build diaries that have come back with error messages and "picture no longer exists"

I've just bought a VVC engine, PG1 and MGF cable gearchange and I'd love to do a bit more research before I launch into the swap from my current 1.6/R65/rattle rods so that I can keep the time off road to a minimum by learning from all the problems all you guys overcame several years ago.

I have Pete Arnold's original build website archived. It's just static HTML and images. I can send it to you, I suggest to remove his email address from it though.

Neil Hickman has kindly allowed me to produce his website here.
I've only uploaded a couple of pages so far but you can find it on the top menu and here's a direct link:

Neil Hickman's build diary, formally at www.gtmspyderbuild.co.uk

Hopefully the first of many!

Andy, are you in touch with Pete Arnold?
I'm happy to host Pete's site, with his permission.
