That one seems like the perfect Spyder. If I was still looking I'd be beating a path to your door! Fantastic spec.

What are you going for next?

GTM spyder 9 is now sold and off to its new owner tomorrow, its an end of an era, After ordering the car at the GTM open day in 2002, the build started in August 2002 and finished in september 2005 where after its first time pass of the SVA the car was on the road a few days later after registration, The car has been incredibly reliable (probably due to taking so long and meticulous construction) with just a broken gear selector bracket, a leaking diff seal being the only failures in 10 years of driving!

I'll be sad to see it go but its time for the car to be be regularly used and enjoyed on a regular basis, now its time to look for a replacement and sadly no it wont be a GTM .

keep a look out for it as I'm sure it will turn up at a show or the forum very soon

Cheers

Box Fast Classics is the same firm that bought Stew's Libra V6 a few months ago (with him thinking it was a private sale). Seems to be a theme developing, but then if they are paying people's asking prices then maybe we are asking too little?

That would appear to be the case. It's no different to other cars. Private sales often sell for less than cars from a dealer/trader. They can offer warranty, finance etc.

As long as the seller gets what they want, wheres the harm?

Box fast classics is only five miles from Wetherby my home town. I will have to go and have a look and see what they are like

On the plus side that means there's more than one Gtm in the area , might have to start a regional Gtm club .

Im sure whoever ends up with cams car will love it as much as he did and it's about keeping these cars on the road

Only noticed this yesterday on eBay. Did they actually sell the v6? Their prices are a bit excessive..! The thing I dislike is that both times they have come across as genuine buyers that intend to use the car, then they wind up on eBay for a couple grand more. At the end of the day if you need something gone money talks but they are clearly liars and it's not a nice way to conduct business.

I don't think that Cam was decieved at all. He got what he wanted for the car and is happy with the deal. I believe he knew the guy was a trader.

Where is the harm? How do you think second hand car dealers get their stock? Aren't they supposed to make a profit?

It was Cams update saying the car is off to it's new owner and it's time for it to be used that made me think he had been decieved.

The seller of the Black V6 confirmed he had no idea the bloke was a trader on GTMOC and didn't seemed too pleased about it.

I agree it's their business at the end of the day and when selling a car serious offers/money talks, it's not that I have a problem with.

Hey - with not many GTMs coming up for sale stuff like this might even push up their percieved value, not bad if you already have one.

I'm surprised the automatic libra on ebay hasn't sold yet, it's in reasonable condition from the looks of it, it's been advertised a while so a cheeky offer might get that and it's hardly a big job to throw a manual box in it.

It doesn't help that the Auto car is listed on Ebay as a GMT! Or that its an Auto.

True but if had cheap enough changing to a manual box wouldn't be such an epic task. It looks fairly tidy.
